So I remember seing the empty game boxes at EB Games for those 3 SW games And Jedi Academy perfected the lightsaber combat compaired to the 3 previous Jedi Knight games. SW Galaxies was sooo good compaired to The Old Republic. Because All 3 games were hugely anticipated ![]() = Gamestop was EB games & it was considered THE StarWars Golden Age side note & kinda OffTopic- when Jedi Academy was coming out= The Learning curve is really ust me! and I struggle withmost advanced control THE #1 reason is because youre Jedi character has a lightsaber flourish & special moves that require BOTH mouse buttons same time.man did I have fun with this back them. ***JEDI ACADEMY= This one is a no-Brainer to ALL whove played it I'm gonna just play it mouse keyboard like I did 16 years ago. actually had to uninstall the game rotflmao! well it wqasnt funny at the time. With no way to set the controller pad option back to " NO" Jedi Outcast.but it went sooo wacky that the mouse wouldnt workĪnymore except glitchy and broken. I mainly wanted to use my 360 controller(forget xbox1 controller) on Sorry this is kind of sloppy but it has the more then the basics you need to get started at playing with a controller.**disclaimer** This thread is useful since people still have this issue. R2+Left Joystick down/scroll-down will zoom out. R2+Left Joystick up/scroll-up will zoom in. R2+Y/Triangle/I = bring up character inventory. (You'll have to set up Shift+2 and Shift+1 to do this in key bindings) Cycle quick bars by holding L2/Shift and pressing x/square/2 to cycle down and Y/triangle/1 to cycle up. I like to use Shift+6 and Shift+7 as my roots and root escapes Holding L2/Shift and pressing LURD will activate the last 4 skills once you assign the last 4 spaces in the quick-bar as shift+4, +5, +6, and +7. While holding R2 and pressing LURD you assign 8, 9, 0, - and that will be the middle four skills. DPad in LURD order I do 4, 5, 6, 7, and these will be the first 4 skills left to right. You'll have to bind that as well or use whatever auto is when you start. 元/ALT will toggle your mouse-lock from the program above. Left Joystick as WQES is better movement then WASD in my opinion. (You might have to set this key bind IDR) R1/tab to cycle closest target or next target, whichever you prefer. R3/right-click to loot (aoe loot and auto loot preferred) and to interact with things. Right Joystick you just set up to match a the mouse movement. I also would not put these on your Main cast bar because I use these abilities the most.ī/Circle/space-bar is obviously for jumping and skipping dialogue or loading screens, and its in a comfortable spot for how much you use it. You also go in this order for conversation wheels so its more fluid and feels better. X/Square/2 Normally just use a quick recast dmg spell but could be anything really.Ī/Cross/1 Just as the basic attack. SET 1 will be what your using most of the time. Im giving examples with the DS4 and 360 but if you have a DS4 it does have 2 more buttons you can utilize which gives you more options as well. I've changed my setup a lot of times and this is the most recent one i've been using. Remember you definitely don't have to follow my example. I use the left-alt one to lock/unlock my mouse.Īfter these are both installed you can set up your controller. I personally use Xpadder which costs like $10 but there are other options.Ģ) Follow this cool ass guys directions to download auto-hotkey and his mouse lock tool. ![]() So I just wanted to share my set up from a previous comment I made with some added stuff.įirst here is a video showing that it works (It's my first youtube video so don't hate too much on the quality).Īnd photos of what preferences and key bindings you might need to change.ġ) You need to obtain a good program to map your keyboard to your controller. There's always a lot of posts on how to play SWTOR or any MMO with a controller and normally it gets a pretty simple answer and a "no, it's impossible" or "you'll be so limited you can't possibly do pvp or group content and be useful".
